Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Queen Isabella I According to Michael Hart’s book The 100: A Ranking of the Most Influential Persons in History, Queen Isabella had the highest rank among women!. She came 65, right before Joseph Stalin, Julius Caesar, & William the conqueror!. Isabella’s achievements includes: The unity of Spain, the centralization of the crown power, the reconquista was successfully concluded, the groundwork for the most dominant military machine of the next century and a half was laid, a legal framework was created, the church reformed, & the rise of Spain as a major European power!.Www@QuestionHome@Com I can't think of just one woman, as there have been so many in history who have been important!. Thinking of British history, I think a very important figure was Queen Elizabeth I, because she was the first really succesful woman ruler England had, and she ruled england for over forty years, when nobody thought a woman could keep her throne and remain single for that long!. She did both!. In the 19th century, Florence Nightingale was enormously important!. She revolutionised nursing, saved enormous numbers of lives in the Crimea, and made nursing into a respectable and respected profession!. She was enormously influential!. In the 20th century, Margaret Thatcher, our first woman prime minister, was an important figure, elected Prime Minister three times, she ran the country for eleven years!. She managed to keep control of her almost entirely male government with ease!. She is the most significant female politician we have yet managed to produce!.Www@QuestionHome@Com I think Israel's Prime Minister Golda Meir she was an amazing women able to lead a young country in time of a war and also before becoming prime minister she had many positions in the government, hey she is the third women in the world to hold a leadership position!.
