Question: Plessy v!. Ferguson question!.!.!.!?
You know how they argued that the Separate Cars Act violated the thirteenth amendment of the Constitution!? In what way did it!? I've been thinking about it and I don't understand!. I see how it violated the fourteenth amendment like very clearly, but the thirteenth amendment!.!.!.!.!? I need to argue my case!. I just need to know in what way it violated the 13th amendment!. involuntary servitude, thats the angle they used since it was forced on them to go to the poorer car instead of a choice!. so that is why they went with separate but equal!. to fix the problem which was still wrongWww@QuestionHome@Com

Who argued that the act violated the thirteenth amendment!? Whoever they were, they were wrong!. It certainly violated the 14th amendment, shown in the text, "nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law"!. Obviously "separate but equal" facilities denied African Americans to their natural liberties to be equal to whites and use the same facilities as them, but the text of the 13th amendment, "Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime where of the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction", does not talk about specific liberties besides the prohibition of slavery!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
