More specifically-Hitler did have plans to invade Switzerland, and divide it between Germany and Italy, based on ethnic lines, but the strength of Swiss preparations and fortifications, combined with the terrain, which was not conducive to Blitzkrieg tactics, would have made invasion incredibly costly for minimal gains!.

Because he had not overriding ideological need to invade Switzerland (unlike Russia, which was ruled by "subhuman" Slavs), Hitler took the unprecedented (for him) action of making a cost-benefit analysis and decided it would be better to have an officially neutral, subserviently friendly, independent Switzerland around for him to launder money stolen from conquered nations' treasuries, rather than spend heavy amounts of blood conquering a country that would not give Germany any of his precious "Lebensraum"!. Therefore, as long as the Swiss government agreed to act as Hitler's personal banker, Hitler was content to leave them alone!.

FYI, Sweden took much the same course, staying officially neutral while subserviently providing Nazi Germany with the iron ore it needed for its war machine!. The only reason Norway was invaded by Hitler was because Britain would occupy it if he didn't!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It was a thought!. It is said that Herman Goering went to Switzerland in an official visit and that he was granted a parade and inspection of a Swiss Army guard of honour!. He asked one of the Swiss if he was ready to fight for his country and the answer was yes!. Then he asked, "what would you do if you are on the border and a German soldier invades your country", the Swiss replied "I would shoot one bullet from my rifle and he'll be dead", bemused Goering said, "but we outnumber the Swiss by many, what would you do if you saw 10 German soldiers!?", the Swiss then replied, " I would shoot 10 bullets and they'll be dead"!. Of course, his plan was worldwide domination and the eradication of all Jews from the planet!. After Jews, I imagine he would have went on to blacks, Asians, etc if he could have conquered enough Nations!. It's hard to see that ever happening, but who knows if he had gained enough power, army, etc!. His plan was to have one world of a perfect society of German or white race without flaw (no retarded people, mentally disabled, physically incapacitated)!. He would have exterminated at least half the planet (maybe more) as not being worthy of perfection!. No Switzerland was not invaded!. As people have already said that they were neutral and so it would be improper to do so!. also if you look at the landscape, the fact that Switzerland was very mountainous would pose a problem to take the troops and Panzers through there!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Switzerland's neutrality kept it from taking sides with any country of the Allies!. Thus, it was not a threat to Hitler's Third Reich, and not considered a nation that would needed to be conquered to fit into the 'Lebensraum' scheme of things!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

He probably did!. He signed a pact not to invade Poland, and just months after, he sent his troops to Poland!. that shows you what kind of a man he is!. I don't think that a country being neutral would have deterred his plans of dominating Europe!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
