We have little information on his life, but it is probably Plato and the Academy that influenced Aristotle, not in terms of ideas, but on the organization of "professional" philosophy!.
The Academy extended his interests to the fields of knowledge of his time!.

However one point is not resolved: Aristotle was what we now call a naturalist; this interest for plants and animals does not come from Plato, because Plato was not interested in nature!.
My best guest is he has been influenced by his father who was a doctor!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
