I would ask him how he could live with himself!? How would he be able to go to sleep at night and not commit suicide!. Why would you want to still be alive, when you know that you just killed bunches of people that were innocent!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Many years ago I worked with a man who had been an infantry soldier in the 36th Division in Italy!.He said the Rapido river literally turned red from the blood of US soldiers killed attempting to cross it!.Veterans of his unit tried to have 5th Army commander General Mark Clark court martialed for murder!.The Germans maintained they used Monte Cassino only for observation but he said he could see smoke from the guns in the famous monastery!.After the war he was able to enter the Russian zone and said the Russians were filthy and must have worn the same uniform throughout the entire war!.My uncle flew a B24 in the war!.I once asked him about the German and Italian Air Forces!.He said the Italians were not taken too seriously but he still respects the German Luftwaffe!.If you get a chance to speak to a veteran of WW2 just ask them what happened and they'll tell you some good stories!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
