WWI broke the back of the British Empire and showed the world how weak the French were!. Nevertheless, the twain look as if they had been strenthed in that they swoop down as valures over the remains of the Ottoman Empire and had their political will realized on the Austo-Hungarian Empire!. For Russia (Which is Often not seen as European but Eurasia!.) and Germany Political instability Rheined!. Two revolutions and a 5 year civil war in Russia colmunated in domination of the old Tzarist empire, including Poland, Belorus, and the Ukrain which were made free by Leinist decrees in 1917, by the Soviets!. (Totalitairian Cummunist)
They would also reintergrate Estonia,Latvia, Lithuania, and Besarabia into the Soviet Empire by 1939!. In Germany, "which had been stabed in the back" the myth of Tutonic superioity, an idear they translated from england haveing both Darwinian and Anglowsaxon Attaudes of supirioity, and thus the inevitable future hegimon of europe, seemed only to become more inflamed in the morally and economicly bankrupt setting of Weirmar Germany, and for the Germans ww1 was the start of ww2!.
The above was the setting and ww2 detroyed what ww1 didn't!. American Hegamony in the world didn't seem inevitable at the time to europeans as Americas don't see its colapes as inevitable today but the historicly mind do see that which is obvious!. Nevertheless, it was emerging and the destruction of Europe and more importantly the rebuilding of Europe set the American ship full speed ahead as it were, at least economicly!. Mentally Americans at the time were much more realilistic than their European counterparts and in the decades before ww1 they were living a pipe dream!. See the proud tower, Babra W Tuckman and that is what led up to it!. The same thing is said about China today and much of it true, yet I for one can not see a continuence of growth in the China's economic development without a affulent market like that of the US or EU in which to dump its "inferiour" goods!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
