That's a complicated question!.!.!. the short answer is the unification of Germany under the Prussian Hohenzollern king was completed in 1871 after the Franco-Prussian war!. Before it became a unified country it was broken up into numerous smaller states with the largest being Prussia and Austria, each of the states in essence a seperate and independant country!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
