Question: Greek Gods, Roman Gods!?
Which Gods were the Romans introduced to when they conquered the Greeks that they didn't already have!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
The Romans had a habit of identifying Greek gods with their own deities!. So for instance the Greek goddess Aphrodite was identified with the roman goddess Venus!. they tended to blend the characteristics of the Greek gods and goddesses with that of their own deities!. So Venus took on attributes of Aphrodite that she had not previously been identified with!. Venus originally seems to have been a goddess of fertility in vegetables, fruit and flowers, but she acquired Aphrodite's mythology as a result of her identification with Aphrodite!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Unless I am mistaken the entire Roman Pantheon of Gods is exactly the same as the Greek Pantheon only with some of the names being different!. i!.e!. Jupiter and Zeus refers to the exact same God only with different names!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
