American soldiers went to Europe in World War I, but all battles that they were involved in were in Europe!. No German soldiers ever marched on American soil during World War I!. (The same is true for World War Two, by the way!.)Www@QuestionHome@Com

With the exception of Pancho Villa's raid in New Mexico in 1916, the United States hasn't had hostile soldiers in any of the states during the twentieth century!. As such, no battles were fought in the United States during World War 1 (or 2)!. Perhaps you were thinking of the US Civil War!?

In case you were asking which states were in the United States during world war 1, all of the states except Hawaii and Alaska were in the United States!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, just one little note here!.

True!. No battles of WWI were fought on American soil!. And, there was some action down along the Mexican border with Villa!.

But, people have stated that no foreign army has been on American soil since the thing with Villa!. That's not exactly true!. We had to kick the Japanese off the Alutian Islands up in Alaska during WW2!.!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
