Truman gave the order to drop the Atomic Bomb ending WWII, but in my opinion his most important accomplishment was the reconstruction of Europe after WWII avoiding a possible WWIII!. The Truman Doctrine opened the air ways for the famous Marshall Plan that reconstructed Europe, brought the countries together peacefully, increased international trade, and stopped the spread of communism!. Then of course he was president at the start of the infamous Cold War!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

He was the first and only countries leader at first who endorsed Israel as an independent state, in 1948!. Which is why we are hated by anti-Israeli Muslim nations today!.
Plus he made the world thing twice about attacking us!. When he became the only president of the only country to use an atomic weapon in war on another country!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
