No although some prisoners of war were trusted to live on German farms to help with agriculture because of shortage of manpowerWww@QuestionHome@Com

It wouldn't be surprising if there were some pro forma hearings, probably for Danes, Belgiums, Dutch, etc!. who posed not threat to the occupation!. Some of those hearings were probably held to allow a reason for informers to come back into their old neighborhoods!.

There may well be cases of releases due to severe wounds, illness, pregnancy, etc!.

In general, Germans treated many western Europeans well during the war and were not thought of too badly by many western Europeans not in the axis!.
