Brcause George Armstrong Custer did not do his homework!.
he went out into Indian Territory without checking his intelligence dispatches which would have told him the enemy had tripled its' numbers, so when he attacked, he was wiped out by superior numbers!.

Custard had opened a saloon in Apokee, South Dakota!. at this saloon he made a pretty penny off his own men and local indians!. Soon the good general wanted to open a saloon in the middle of an Indian town - this did not sit will with Crazy Horse and Sitting Bull!. They knew Custard's reputation!. Custard had shot and killed Black Kettle in his own saloon in Oklahoma!. They knew if Custard brought his troops galavanting through the streets of the Indian reservation many indians would be murdered over the years!.

It was time for the Indians to stand up for themselves!. So at a creek called little bighorn the indians had an ambush waiting for Custard!. when the US army approached they were offered peace pipes and food!. There was soon a merry party, but half of the pipes were laced with poisen!.

Custard found this out after a few men died, and he rallied his troops!. They began to shoot at their indian hosts, however the Indians knew that this might happen!. They had 10000 men surrounding the campsite, and all Custard could do was try and hold a small hill!. Many Indians died, but all of Custard's men fell!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
