Question: What do you think about 9/11!?
How many people forgot about 9/11!?
Does anyone remember what was like when it happened that day!? All those people who were killed, all those mothers and fathers, brothers and sister, sons and daughters, husbands and wives!. I bet you their loved ones do!. Some risked their lives, and they never came back!. And some tried to stop it, but weren't able to!.

If they were to replay the tapes of that day, would you just change the channel or stare at it and remember what it was like that day!?

I asked a similar question, but it seemed all people cared about was bringing back the troops from this 'illegal' war!. Illegal or not, we need to get rid of the master mind behind those attacks!. Unless, of course, you want another 9/11 to happen!. Cause then you'll be mad because we didn't stop it!. But then, would you be one of those who wanted the troops back!?

And don't tell me a 9/11 happens everyday in africa!. It's not the same, and you know it!. That's genocide, disease, and poverty!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

How could anyone who lived through that day and the ones following ever forget!? I know I can't!.

There's a term dating back to the post American Civil War period called "waving the bloody shirt!." This referred to a tactic used by politicians in both the North and the South of reminding people of these regions of the lives lost during the conflict, and how the "Yankees" or the "Rebels" can't be allowed to gain the upper hand!.

There are those who feel that bringing up 9/11 is "waving the bloody shirt," and if that's so, then I plead guilty to doing that very thing!.

We can never forget, because we would do so at our own peril!. I'd put "Remember 9/11" right beside "Remember the Alamo" and "Remember Pearl Harbor!."

It was the day that many of us lost our feeling of security, perhaps forever!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I have never forgotten about 9/11!. I still remember it like it was yesterday!. I live in England and I remember coming downstairs to eat breakfast and my Mum was in tears watching the TV and I just stood and watched the infamous videos of the planes crashing into the Twin Towers!. I was 11, and I remember getting on the schoolbus and everyone was quiet and at school we had assemblies to think and reflect about all those poor people who had died that day!.

Everytime It is shown on TV, I watch it to remind myself of it!. I don't want the troops back!. America needs to show it's power over those countries!.

9/11 had lasting effect on me because it made me afraid to sleep for a long time, incase it happened in England (which, of course, it did in July 2005 where a smaller but effective attack was carried out on the London Underground)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i think it showed the world that despite all of its firepower that people can still strike at america - despite all of the satellites - navy task forces - aircraft - troops weapons - technology that the people americans look down on always - that those people struck back - they could have been from any country outside the us - it would have surprised the world especially non americans !. I think that it was a surprise as all I have ever heard all my life is about how america can crush everyone and the world exists in americans shadow - that everything outside america is crap - I was surprised and realised that people can strike at america and america / americans are not invincible alwaysWww@QuestionHome@Com

I think 9/11 was significant for 2 reasons!.

1) It showed the world that despite all its government ,its special and investigative services, its military and its technology Americas arrogance was so strong that it left itself vulnerable to a simple attack!.

2) that America is not as loved on the world stage as their ignorance would allow them to believe!.

It was terrible and yes Iraq is a terrible war !. America does not have the upper hand !.!.your santised so called free press would allow you to believe that!. but the free world press paints a totally different picture!.

Your biggest enemies are not Iraq and iran it is saudi arabia!.

Fact !.!.!.non of the 9/11 terrorists were Iraqi!.

Fact!.!.!.!.Bin Laden was on CIA payrolls during the Russian / afghan war!.

Fact!.!.!.!.Bin Laden was fed confidential and secret information during the afghan war!.

fact!.!.!.the taliban were considered allies by America during the afghan war!.

fact !.!.!.!.America supplied arms , ammunition and over 3 billion dollars to taliban and al queda during the afghan war!.

fact !.!.!.Americas foreign policies have alienated most of the middle east and will cost them dearly for many years !.!.!.in lives and tax payers dollars!.

9/11 was a sad day !.!.!.and it results from all these actions!.

I will get the usual thumbs down and reported form idiots who do not want to face the truth!. That is OK they can go through their total loser lives for what they are!. Take a look at the bigger picture!. America is at it lowest opinion on the world stage than at any other time in its history !.

Your own senators are saying that!. Think about the whole picture!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Will never forget it!. Was in the staff-room at Piccadilly Station in Manchester waiting, with driver to take a train just arrived from Euston, to Longsight to be cleaned, and it flashed up on the telly screen!. The canteen was full of train drivers and line-workers laughing and talking away!. Suddenly - the silence fell like a rain storm, and some of the girls started to cry, and as it went on, some of the lads were on the verge of sobbing also!. Even people who expressed dislike for America and its leaders of late just stared in disbelief - and that goes for the few Asian workers, despite them being looked upon differently when the press and politicians started to mouth off about extremists, Saddam Hussain and the rest soon after!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

My mother's birthday is 9/11, so I was visiting her that morning!. I remeber I was sitting in front of the tv waiting for her to get ready to go to her customary birthday breakfast when I saw the news something about a plane hitting a tall building in New York!. Then, as I was watching the live footage a second plane hit the second tower!. Things went down hill from there for most of America!. The world has not been the same since!. I didn't lose any formal friends or family that day, but I keep those that did in my prayers!. God bless the USA and those that defend it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
