Gaius Julius Caeser-went through the same ordeals as his men, led from in front, inspiring and dedicated!.

I guess it depends on your criteria for 'best'!. I mean, quickest victory, most victories, most territory gained, longest lasting empire etc!. Could even have most pretentious just so Monty gets mentioned!.

My two favorite would have to be Zhukov who believed in victory regardless of the cost in human lives and Atilla the Hun, the scourge of God!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
