One of Lincoln's weaknesses was his inability to hold the nation together!. No, I do not have sources, but I believe that his greatest weakness was not being able to keep the country together!. A great president would not have allowed part of the nation to leave!. He would have created economic programs that would have allowed the south a way to grow without slaves rather than simply destroying the south!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

maybe that he didn't take enough guards for protection!. He went to Richmond in 1865 right after its fall with very little protection!. The night of his assassination he only had 2 guards!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
