Very good!. These would be connections to today!. But are you sure she did all these things!? I thought the fork came during Louis XIV's reign in the latter 1600's!. How could Catherine bring French cuisine to France - - - she was an Italian, a Florentine, a Medici!. Better make sure you have good sources for your information or your teacher may question your findings!.
Good Luck!. Excellent choice of topic !

Added note - - Looks like you are quite correct -----
"the table fork had, by the 11th century, made its way to Italy!. In Italy, it became quite popular by the 14th century, being commonly used for eating by merchant and upper classes by 1600!. It was proper for a guest to arrive with his own fork and spoon enclosed in a box called a cadena; this usage was introduced to the French court with Catherine de' Medici's entourage!." http://en!.wikipedia!.org/wiki/Fork

I stand corrected, but Catherine didn't "invent" the fork as much as she brought it's use to France from Florence!.
Very good work on your part!. The ballet fits too!. You have a good project going!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
