I think you are probably right!. Bruno Ganz's interpretation is just remarkable!. He doesn't look that much like Hitler, but he sounds like him, and within minutes of the film starting you are mesmerised by his performance!. The supporting cast are not only superb actors - the Goebbels are terrifyingly real - they also look like the people that they are portryaing!.

Yes it was an excellent portrayal of the last days of history's most reviled man!. As pointed out it did not deal with Hitler's rise to power, but it wasn't trying to either!. That would be an entire film unto itself!. I think that movie should be made, so show people the dangers of a charismatic leader with access to a dissatisfied population!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

NO, it did not really explain why or how the German society was minipilated by the Nazis!.This is vitally importatant because ,today, we are being minipulated in the same ways!.If you liked the movie ,I can appreciate it, but it was not historically complete!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
