The Eiffel Tower was built for the International Exhibition of Paris of 1889 commemorating the centenary of the French Revolution!. The Prince of Wales, later King Edward VII of England, opened the tower!. Of the 700 proposals submitted in a design competition, Gustave Eiffel's was unanimously chosen!. However it was not accepted by all at first, and a petition of 300 names - including those of Maupassant, Emile Zola, Charles Garnier (architect of the Opéra Garnier), and Dumas the Younger - protested its construction!.

The Eiffel Tower was build during a worlds fair in Paris in 1890's by Eiffel (a person, but can't remember his first name) The city didn't like it because it broke the sky line of Paris (all the buildings were about the same height) and they were going to tear it down, but for some reason, they kept it up for a while, and it became so popular that they just left it up!.
It has since become (and i'm not sure which one it is now) a radio antana and t!.v!. transmitter!. and a huge tourist trap!.
They are about 5 big recreations including Tokyo Tower in Japan, the Eiffel tower in Las Vagas and The Eiffel Tower in Disney World at EPCOT!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Something you will not find on-line!.!.!. The truth about the tower!. There is no record of the tower being built because it is really and alien space ship that landed in Paris!. What transpired with the alien meeting is sketchy at best!. And a cover-up story about the building and reasons for the tower was concocted soon after!. The original reason for the ship landing was to offer the ship as a gift of friendship from these well meaning ETs!.

Why are you so preoccupied with shaft shaped objects!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
