why would you ask that!?!? i mean animals suffer everyday all together but why during ww2!? you mean maybe because the world was going through a depression and people were having trouble finding food and so it would have been harder to feed animals!?!? I don't think they were tortured Im sure people during that time had greater things to worry abt like when the war would be over!. I mean Im sure animals died because the dying of animals is inevitable during any time but Im pretty sure they did or were!.

How do you define torture!? Animals played a vital role during World War Two especially in the Russian versus German conflict wherein horses & oxen were the primary source of transport for big guns and freight and dogs were utilized by Germans and Americans in partiuclar as sentries & scouts!.
In the Pacific phase of the war many dogs died after tiggering land mines and when captured by the enemy they became a meal!.
