The South had fewer guns and fewer men!. It is never a good idea to start shooting when suffering those disadvantages!.

The South was the "field" for most of the "game!." This is also a bad strategy!. The field gets really torn up when games get rough!.

Northern economy > Southern economy at the time!.


North was industrialized, ergo could produce more goods for soldiers and such!. South was agriculture, and couldn't do the same!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Probably the biggest reason was the fact that the South had an insufficient industrial base!. They were at disadvantage producing arms, uniforms, transportation vehicles, etc!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
