When they did find employment it was often in less than ideal conditions!. They had very little money, so they had trouble finding homes and food!. The US government used immigrants, on more than one occasion, as easy recruits for fighting wars!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Actually they had it better than immigrants do today!. People moved into cultural neighborhoods where the stores sold the food they liked and friends or family were there to help them get situated!. Jobs were there since America was growing and prospering with industrialization!. Today only in some areas of the country are immigrants welcome!.Www@QuestionHome@Com one things i learned form U!.S government is that they faced alot of paper works, In the early 1900's immigrants was held in liberty island to get checked for any kinds of desease and this process ussulayy took over days, and in the 1800's because of the potato crop event in Europe alot of the immigrants had to migrate to our country!. They faced abuse from native white americans, abuse such as verbal, physical and sometimes mental, and because they are from another country they are often mistreated and not given jobsWww@QuestionHome@Com Most immigrants faced discrimination issues such as the Italians and Irish!. There were signs up in many bussinesses that said 'Irish Need Not Apply' Yes, these problems are still happening today, but now its with Mexicans having trouble finding decent jobs or even getting into the country leagallyWww@QuestionHome@Com Homelessness, language barriers, no job!.Www@QuestionHome@Com no good music, no TV and really bad quality porn!.
