The original Fascists were a political movement, consisting of the doctrine and the regime of Benito Mussolini in Italy!. It encouraged militarism and strong nationalism, and Italy was organized in those days in a very authoritarian manner!. It was an extreme right wing political system that was fundamentally opposed to democracy!. Mussolini was executed by the Italian people in 1942 during WW2 and hung with his mistress from a lamp post!. So a Fascist is someone who has extreme right wing, authoritarian views !. There were other Fascist parties modeled along similar lines of course, Franco's Spain, and Hitler's National Socialist [Nazi] party!. Lasted from the mid 1930's to1945!. Hiler and Mussolini were allies until Italy was defeated in 1942!. Being opposed to democracy, they have tended to be chauvinistic, warmongering, dictatorships!. Pretty certain thats right!. Don't call someone a Fascist or Nazi unless you REALLY want to insult them!. The complete opposite - the extreme left of politics gives us the Communist party for example, so for most people somewhere close to centre, or marginally left or right of centre suits most folk!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Fascism is a form of Socialist ideology!. The Fascists resembled another branch of socialism- the Nazis and were real socialists in absolutely every aspect!. The socialist ideology uses social conflicts as the favoured method of gaining power!. Fascism stressed the "nation" as the favoured group!. It favoured the "real people" as opposed to the "traditional ruling classes"!. It instituted a "national programme" in almost every aspect and established state control over the economy!. The Nazis were very similar except that they favoured the "race" factor over the "nation" factor!. Their cousins the Communists favoured the "worker" group- all fake BTW since these are only political slogans and used to cover the fact that an above-the-law oligarchy rules in all three cases If there are no conflicts- they can be initiated fairly easy- most people feel they are "wronged by society" - regardless of reality!. The difference between fascism and communism is the choice of the splinter group to be favoured!. In reality in both cases it was all a humbug, designed to ensure power for the minority which was really in charge!. Another difference is the level of involvement in the economics- communist socialists wanted to control every worker- from the craddle to the grave!. Fascist socialists controlled the overall factory production, the trade unions and the "official" owners!.
