To be brief!.!.Germany underestimated the strenght of the RAF and consequently failed to overcome Britian,that faliure changed the course of the war!.For the first time an enemy (Britian) was not just acting as a defensive force but was activley attacking the Axis!.When the US entered the war the Axis was being attacked from the East(Soviets),the West and the South(Western Allies)The D Day landings took place because of German faliure to defeat Britian 4 yrs earlier!.

When the Soviets reached Berlin and started to attack it, Hitler went crazy and killed himself, and then in the following days, all of his top commanders and politicains, etc, commited suicide!. The Nazis then surrendered, thinking they were doomed without HItler!. Then, in Japan, we dropped two atomic bombs and a few days later, after huge casualties, Japan surrendered!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
