Question: What was Albert Speer charged with at the Nuremberg trials!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
I think the main charge against Speer was for the use of forced slave labour in German munitions factories as well as at German rocket sites such as Dora!. Including in the charge was Speer's belonging to the Nazi party!.

They did try to get speer at Nuremburg on conspiracy to commit mass murder!. While Speer denied any knowledge of the extermination camps, he did later admit years after being released from Spandau that he had heard about Auschwitz from other high ranking Nazis!.

Of course they couldnt get him on conspiracy to plan war or the invasion of occupied countries because at the time Speer was only Hitler's architect, not actively involved in any plans for war or knowledge!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

At the Nuremberg Trials, Speer was one of the few officials to express remorse!. He was sentenced to 20 years' imprisonment, most of which he would serve at Spandau Prison, West Berlin, largely for his use of slave labour!.

He was charged with use of slave labor!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
