This photo was taken in late April 1945 in Berlin, Germany, as the city is being captured and looted by the Soviet Army!. The Soviet soldier is smiling because he and his countrymen & women are in the process of winning a great victory over the Germans, and the Soviet flag has just been raised over the Reichstag (German Parliament Building) in the background!. He is holding a bust (the head) of Adolf Hitler, the leader of the German Third Reich, which probably has been broken off a statue of some sort!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
