Position:Home>History> Hitler's totalitarian state?

Question: Hitler's totalitarian state!?
Ok, so I have a piece of history homework, and I've done all of it apart from part of one question (so don't tell me I'm being lazy for not doing it), but I need some help!. I've looked in my text book, but it doesn't have much information on what I need!.!.!.

Here it is:

Using the example of the Holocaust, explain the dangers of totalitarianism!. Explain why the Nazis were able to proceed with their ‘Final Solution’

I think it might be something to do with the fact that the German's didn't like he Jews and they were slowly persecuted, but I'm not entirely sure!

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks!!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

They were able to proceed with their `final solution` because the German people were too frightened to speak out!.

All tyrants rule by terror and fear: they attempt to terrorize the whole nation!. If once they succeed in doing this, they can do more or less what they want!.

Hitler did this by subtle steps and propaganda - before they knew what was happening, the German people had sleepwalked into this situation , carried along on a tide of nationism!.

He used the Jews as scapegoats - he hated them anyway - but he laid the blame for all Germany`s ill at their doorstep!.

Eventually he categorized them as lower status than animals, and gave his henchment carte blanche to persecute and even kill them!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you hold a nation in subjection with a totalitarian regime and use terror and torture to do what you want , then who is to stop you if you wish to destroy a whole race of people because you are total inadequate , And need to feel superior to somebodyWww@QuestionHome@Com
