The mentality of why the US and the USSR were allies during WWII is "the enemy of my enemy is my friend!. Germany broke the non-aggression pact with Russia and Russia instantaneouly became part of the Allied Powers!. As soon as the war was over, we became enemies with them again!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The western powers would not be allies with Russia as they went to war with Germany who as you said had the non-agression pact with them but once Hitler declared war on Russia, Russia imediately joined forces with the alliesWww@QuestionHome@Com
