one the Russians betrayed germany and attcked them well they were being attacked from all other sides by americas and the british it was too much to handle all at once

Hitler's madness was a contributing factor. He had key generals killed when things didn't go perfectly. He sure could have used them later on. He blamed everything on everybody but himself. He supervised all aspects of the German war effort, but wasn't good at any of them. He suffered from both Parkinson's Disease and Gonorrhea, which ate away at his brain.

The worst thing to happen to Germany back then was Hitler himself.

The Soviet & American forces were marching into Germany from East & West. By this time, Hitler had lost some major battles (N. Africa, France, Italy, etc) and things were looking bad for him. However, he was crazy enough to continue sending men. Although he knew he was losing, he was so unwilling to surrender; German soldiers were dropping like flies, and Hitler constantly sent more (at the very end, the BOYS were quite young – ages 12-15 ish). Hitler was in his bunker (an underground haven) when the Soviets marched into Berlin. He actually waited some time until he finally committed suicide. The next in command, at first, did not surrender, but the Nazis were forced to surrender soon afterward

Once Russian forces besieged Berlin where a.h. had refused to escape his bunker which was soon to be over-run by the Russians and he killed himself did Germany capitulate .
Several other posts made good replies about the battles of Stalingrad and the continued offensives by the Allies did Germany finally give in but only after a.h. was dead - such was his power over others that many of the top Nazis actually entered into the besieged city to say farewell ( a dangerous act in and of itself) .
Good luck !
