Everyone knows the E=mc^2 thing....
But one you probably haven't heard of was the photoelectric effect. Einstein pretty much proved the wave/particle duality property of light by explaining that. The importance of this conclusion was that people could start utilizing quantum mechanics, which at that time was a newly explored field of physics because of the mystery of the wave/particle duality.
