Question:Can anyone offer me any good examples of Marie Antoinette's charitable nature. Regardless of your own opinions of her, it has always been said that she had a loving, mothering nature, which stretched further than her family and "favourites" at court. When she first came to France, there was a firework display and trenches were dug many people got hurt and were killed. Antoinette gave all of her "allowance" to the victims. She always donated to the poor. She would stop her carriage and help someone who was hurt usually putting the injured person in her own carriage.
