He didn't cause the civil war. But it did create a fear that slaves would pop up and kill white people. So they cracked down harder on slaves. No reading, no writing, no one teaches them, if you spot someone reading or writing alert the authority quickly.

i dont think it did. he and all the other run aways killed everywhite person they saw, including women and children. he was a bad person who did bad things and deserved to have been killed the way he way. innocent people died and thats not cool. but im sure the south got alot stricter after that sh*t.
