fire poles do not fit

humans have disapointed me...We are selfish and greedy.

Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe. -Albert Einstein.

Instead of spending billions of dollars in wars and nuclear bomb technology, we could have created a beatiful technological world.... but world governments rather spend money in military strenght.

NASA does not have enough support from our governments. Space research and inovative technology is not supported either. We could be driving solar powered cars right now but oil companies are too powerful...so instead of progressing into the future we are stuck. Billions of dollars and human lifes are sacrificed each year because we are stupid. Hunger is all over the world and Aids and spread of deases are created by pharmaceutical companies and supported by the government.

This world is sick.

Because stairs are practically fail proof. Anything else used to get from one floor to another has to be maintained and has the possibility of malfunctioning. Building codes still require public buildings to have a stair cases for easy evacuation. People view elaborate stair cases in commercial buildings as more appeasing. Although all people don't like stairs, the majority of people still do. I have sat in the lobby of my own apartment building and was surprised at how many people use the stairs rather than the elevator. And, stairs are good exercise too. There are more health conscience people out there more than ever.

So you can go from one floor to another if the electricity is out, or if there is a fire. Plus, it is much better exercise to take the stairs than the elevator if you're going 5 floors or less, I wouldn't think of using the elevator, unless sick or carrying stuff.
