China-In the early times the people believed in the four elements (fire,water,earth,wind) I think and had many different gods. Then later people believed in the chinese philosophies: confucianism, taoism, and legalism.

Egypt: They had hundreds of gods. Each one represent something in nature/virtue...

Its totally different cause China believe in only one god but Egypt believed at many gods
