The U.S was also fighting
in a WW1 and having its
own problems. But the US
did manage to send
aid to the Armenians
who were dieing in the deserts
of Syria, after the U.S.
Ambassador to Turkey Henry
Morgenthau cabled the
State Department that the
deportations were increasing
and "a campaign of race
extermination is in progress."
After the Genocide
many Armenians who survived
were taken in by the US for refuge.

The US wasn't a super power at that time. The Army was smaller than Belgium's at the start of the war.

Government of USA did not help really, the world closed its eyes to it, but there were lots of politicians, many American journalists and citizens, lots of organizations who helped , there were missionaries in Turkey at the time, even some of them were killed with Armenians.

The recognition and official condemnation of Armenian Genocide is the duty of every nation and government, not only USA but the whole world, and we are getting there...
