He was a student of Aristotle (though Leonidas [sp?] probably had more influence over his development)

At age 13 his father sent him to a special school taught by Aristotle
he named like 50+ cities after himself (Alexandria)...
Died at age 33 (323BC)
When ever he conquered territories he let the local leaders continue ruling and actually learned the language and wore their clothing while he was there.
