Really stupid question on making a maternal and paternal chart.?

Question: Really stupid question on making a maternal and paternal chart!.!?

Please forgive my stupidity!. I have been researching my history!. I would like to make a paternal and maternal chart on my father!. My mother never knew her parents so I have to go with my father's side!.
I know Maternal follows the mother's line and paternal follows the father's line!. But I can't find any samples on how to chart it!. Any ideas!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

The question you have asked is by no means stupid, in truth I think that the best way to chart your tree is to get a family history programme for you computer and let that do the work for you!.

Then you can print as much or as little as you want!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
