Question: I am trying to find out how much native american my blood grandpa was!?
My mom's dad was part native american but my grandma has no idea how much because he left when my mom was very young!. He had very dark eyes, dark slightly wavy hair, and light brown skin!. I was just wondering if anyone could estimate how much he could have been by these physical characteristics!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You would need to get more information to figure it out!. Physical features won't tell percentages!. But if you can trace his parents and grandparents back to the 1890s, it might be possible to find them on one of the tribal rolls!. The hard part is figuring out which tribe and whether they were ever registered with a tribe!. If the family didn't live on a reservation at the time, they may not have registered!. They may also have been skipped on the 1880, 1890 and 1900 censuses!. Only a good search will tell you for sure!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

There's absolutely positively no way to tell based on physical appearances!. The idea of what a Native American looks like is perhaps one of the most mistaken stereotypes around!. There are plenty of examples of full blooded Native Americans that don't fit that mold whatsoever!. From the description posted I'd guess Mediterranean, South American, Persian, Mongolian, Central Asian, or Eastern European!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
