If you're talking about the UK census, there is no free site for the 1911 census!. The official 1911 census website has an exclusive licence from the National Archives to make the census available!. Searching the site is free but to see images or transcripts you have to pay!. It's only available on a pay-as-you-go basis at the moment!. Eventually, it will become available on subscription sites such as Find My Past and Ancestry but this is not likely to be for a couple of years!. When this happens, you will be able to access it free of charge from a public library that has a subscription to the site!.

The reason that the census was released early is that it's not governed by the 1920 Census Act (which makes census records confidential for 100 years) and the Information Commissioner made a ruling in December 2006 that most of the information on the 1911 census could be made available before its full release date of 3 January 2012!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Will give you the site which went live on 13 Jan 2009 !. Only some English counties with some like Durham and East Riding of Yorkshire still to come !. Excludes Scotland which will have to wait another two years !. You can view transcripts which are quite error prone or view original but will COST you ! Cost is £6!.99 for 60 credits !. 30 credits for an image and 10 credits for transcript !.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You can try www!.familysearch!.org!. It's LDS site and has good information for free!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Don't go there ! It's a New World Conspiracy!. They want you to submit your family information to help them with their sinister eugenics projects!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's only available on ONE site and not all counties are covered!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No you have to pay!. Not sure why the released early, I thought it had to be 100 years!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The only one I heard about wants 3 quid!. Would like to find a free one!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you go to http://www!.census!.gov/ and search "1911 census" you come up with a number of documents including cotton production and population estimates!. I'm not sure what you're trying to find, but the government records are probably your best bet!.

(I'm assuming you want the US census)Www@QuestionHome@Com
