Question: Surname of fitzgerald!?
am trying to trace my irish roots!.!.but as i was adopted at 9 and have no living relatives left, i have no idea how to trace my family anyone out there who has this name fitzgerald who could offer me advice on where to start would be great!. many thanksWww@QuestionHome@Com

There are at least two genealogical societies which can help you in Ireland!. One is in Ulster, in Belfast, and the other is in Dublin!.

I assume you know that the prefix "Fitz" is French, meaning "son of"!.
Your ancestors may be more widespread than just Ireland since people with that prefix to their surname often have their origins in Northern France!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Why don't you start by obtaining your birth certificate with your natural parent(s) details!? !.
