Question: Researching my house!?
I have recently been given a photograph, taken in 1908!. It is of our house, when it was a shop, and a couple of the occupants standing out side!.
I would love to find out who they were,
How would I go about it!?
Thanks :0)Www@QuestionHome@Com

ask your solicitor for a copy of your deeds and it should be on there, alternatively, buy office copy entries from www!.landregistry!.gov!.uk and you will have all names of owners from when it was registered!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Land/property records are at your local courthouse!. They are filed with an index called "grantor/grantee" where the current owner is the grantee, and the person who sold it to (you) is the grantor!. You just keep following it back, until you find the owner in that time frame!.
Via ancestry!.com, you also can look for those names in the 1900 or 1910 census!. Depending on the location, the record may have the street location noted!.
It is also possible your county has a historical society that can help you!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
