"Foshee" is a surname that is part of my son's family on his father's side!. His great-grandmother was named "Forshee," which was apparently a corruption of "Foshee!." My son's particular line lived in the deep south (Alabama, Georgia, the Carolinas and Virginia) starting around the early 1700s!. They descend from one John Foushee, who was born in France in 1690, and who married Millian Downman after they immigrated (apparently seperately) to the Colonies around 1730!.
