Go to you local library and see if they have access to a web site called
The Times Digital Archive

This is a subscription site of the Times Newspaper, you may just find a mention or maybe the London Gazette web site which deals with the Official things!.

The only other thing would be to contact the Imperial War Museum!.

Am I right in thinking he was English, not American!? He's not in either of the two quite comprehensive genealogies of the American Tilman/Tillman/Tilghman family that I have!. Since my grandmother was a Tillman, I'd love to be able to help you, but our immigrant ancestors left England (Kent) in the 1630s!.!.For what it's worth, however, John Donne wrote a poem "To Mr!. Tilman, After He Had Taken Holy Orders!." If you'd like to email me with any further information you may have, I'll be glad to try to help!.

Edit: I just found these sites!. How's your Spanish!? http://search!.yahoo!.com/search!?p=kenneth!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
