we need search engines to sort thru n work 4 u 24/7
TreePad Lite is free you need 2 keep track of your searches(which search engine(SE), which search strings- what u searched 4!.)

work carefully,thoughtfully on creating yr search string!. Once U have good search strings (you'll need them 4 every family, individuals and couples) save them to use again and again!.

use search commands + - ~ " " NEAR OR |
eg: "David Wilson" +~genealogy finds sites with genealogy,family history etc finding couples try: 'Thomas Wilson" NEAR "Alison Jones"

Not all SE use all these terms -always check advanced search!. SE's are lower case only eg: sam brown Remember about searching for images- make this choice B4 you hit search!.!.U may find family photo!

familysearch is free and they have free printable charts!.
Simply register and follow the easy instructions!.

As the other answerer posted, teachers aren't really interested in more than 3 or 4 generations and probably no more than 2 branches!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

For school projects all they want is 3 or 4 generations and you can do that without the computer!.
Start with him, then his parents, then both sets of grand parents and great grandparents!. That should be sufficient for his class project!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
