There's this handy little tool called "subtraction!." What you do is, you take the current year, 2008, and subtract from it the year in question, 1713!. You can do this any number of ways, but I like to use a calculator, which is a machine that does the tricky stuff for you (kind of like a computer, only simpler)!.

My calculator says 2008 minus 1713 is 295!. That would make Herman very old indeed!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
