What this person is doing is a crime and it is NOT your place to find them!. It is your friends responsibility to take her complaint to her cell phone company and to the police!. Stay out of it!. You sound like a minor and you should not be getting involved in this!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

it depends on a number of factors:
- how common this persons name combination can be (e!.g!. john smith OR john smithsonian)
- how old the person is!. statistically, the longer the person has been alive, the more likely you are to 'stumble' upon some information about them on the internet!. that being said, if you're looking for a 5 year old whose parents are tech savvy and have blogs, pictures, etc!. of the child, you're more likely to find them than a grandma who's never heard of the internet
- listed vs!. unlisted in telephone directory!. u could try narrowing it down in yellowpages!.com

you could consider:
- putting an ad in the local paper (assuming they get the paper!?)
- hiring a private investigator (if it truly is of importance to reach this person)
- pay an online record finder to narrow down to the correct person (bit of a long shot)

all your efforts will be admirable if it's for a good cause; if it's to stalk, then considering you're posting this question in the first place, you probably won't get far so they're safe ;)
