Question: I am writing a story on my family history!.!.!.!?
and It starts with my maternal great great grandpa!. Is there a better title for him!.!.!. I dont want people to get bored or lost with the repeating phrase of great great grandpa!. It just seems funny sounding to me in a story!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hi!. I would recommend that once you have established the relationship between yourself and your maternal gt-gt-grandfather in the opening paragraph of your story, you just use his name rather than constantly repeating gt-gt-grandfather!.

I teach family history and I did a similar exercise with my class!. It reads better if you use the ancestor's proper name - and don't forget to refer to a woman by her maiden name when writing about her before she gets married!.
