Question: Why does my mum have really strong genes!?

Me and my brother look nothing like my dad! We look like my mum lol why is this!?

I look much more like my dad than my mum, and it's because perhaps they have more prominent features that are easier to pick out!. Perhaps you have yor dad's face shape, or body shape, or even his character or aptitude for science; something less noticeable than eyes, nose or hair for example!.

It doesn't mean your mother's genes are stronger!. the genes that are passed on are pot luck, and another child could take completely after your dad in the looks!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Part of Evolution is that the dominent genes are carried down the line!. There are mutations and "throw backs" though!. I've read that children don't look like their mother, which is bull!.
I look like my dad and my daughter looks like me!. her daughter looks like her husband, except for the eyes, which she got from her mother (my daughter) who got them from her father's mother!. I don't look anything like my mother, even the color of the eyes!.

You and your brother might find something of your dad when you get older!. I saw a picture of my dad in his 20's and when I covered a part of his face, there was my brother a few years ago!. My brother now at age 40 looks more like my dad's brother's children!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
