Question: If a child were born on November 30, 1916 - just about when would he have been conceived!?
I know that the question sounds a bit off the wall, but let me give you the background!.

My Grandfather was born on 30 Nov 1916!. His mother's divorce was final 29 March 1916!.

Given, average gestation time and he was born 'right on time'!.

When would be the 'best guess' date for conception to happen!?

Would she have known she was pregnant on March 29th if she had the child Nov 30!?

Based on the previous responder's math of 8 months and 2 days from March 29 until November 16, that would mean that at the time of divorce she would have been at the very most, one month pregnant (4 weeks)!. Is possible, but not likely that she would have known she was pregnant!. Even these days, women often do not know until they are 5-6 weeks along!. If she did not carry a full 9 months, then she would have been less than a month pregnant at the time of divorce, increasing the likelihood that she did not know she was pregnant at the time!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

http://www!.timeanddate!.com/date/duration!.!.!.

From and including: Wednesday, March 29, 1916
To and including: Thursday, November 30, 1916
It is 247 days from the start date to the end date, end date included
Or 8 months, 2 days including the end date (aka 32 weeks, 2 days, so going from the timeframe below, your great-grandmother would have been in or about the middle of the 3rd trimester!. You have to think also about the year--1916 wasn't as advanced technologically as it today, with pregnancy tests, etc!. available!. About the only "birth control" then was abstinence!.)

http://en!.wikipedia!.org/wiki/Gestation#H!.!.!.
In humans, birth normally occurs at a gestational age of 37 to 42 weeks!. Human pregnancy can be divided into three trimesters, each three months long!. The First Trimester is from conception (the 0th week) to the 12th week, The Second Trimester is from the 13th to 28th week & The Third Trimester is from the 29th week through the 36th week!. Childbirth occurring before 37 weeks of gestation is considered preterm, childbirth after 24 weeks is usually considered "viable"!.
