Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
MTDna is the female DNA passed down generations!. This DNA survives in both female and male children so either can be tested!.

You get a short sequence of numbers as your results and and explaination on where your furtherest female relative was from, along with migration patterns of this DNA and your group

My results state I come from Margaret, one of the 7 daughters of Eve and my group has Judiasm origins, which is funny because no one at all within the past 300 years in my line is Jewish!. The migration pattern shows they moved from the Ice Regions of Europe to other countries, per evolution!.

I am just waiting for a match so we can find our common female ancestor!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think that the evolutionary implications are that people will be awakened to the migratory habits of people and the vastness of our interconnectedness!. I love it!

Hope this helps :)Www@QuestionHome@Com
