You connect the married couple and show the children under their own parents!. John's and his1st wife Jane had John Jr!. John & his 2nd wife Susan had Sam!. The boys are half brothers!. John Sr would have a wife on each side of him, Sam and John Jr are on the same Generational line Www@QuestionHome@Com

Half siblings are listed under their parents name!.
List each spouse and his/her children under/with the family member!.
List each marriage in order; if you don't know the marriage date, estimate by using the oldest childs birth date!.
Example:
John Doe
m!.(1) circa 1900, Jane Plain
children;
John Doe, Jr!. b!. 1901

m!.(2) 23 September 1920, Sally nee Unknown
children:
Sally Sue, b!.1922

m!.(3) 1945, Glenda Goodwitch
children: no issue or leave blank, depending on the program you are using!.

"circa" means about!.
"nee" refers to a maiden name!.
Unknown looks more professional than a question mark!.
"no issue" is old-fashioned, but I prefer it when collecting data on paper forms!. It tells me there is no need to look for any additional children!.
